Riccardo Bonci - photoRiccardo studied piano at the G Briccialdi Conservatory (Terni, Italy) with Fausto Mastroianni and Maria Teresa Gregorini and graduated in 1997 with distiction. In 1994 he was awarded a scholarship from International Inner Wheel in Terni, for his productivity as a student at the G Briccialdi Institution. In 1995 he began organ studies with Claudio Brizi, and in 2002 graduated in organ studies (again with distinction) studying under Wjinand Van de Pol at the F Morlacchi Conservatory (Perugia, Italy). In April 1998 Riccardo attended an intensive six-month specialist course for Opera Repetiteurs organized by the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale in Spoleto, and then worked for the same Institution as piano accompanist, repetiteur, coach, stage assistant and harpsichordist. He has participated in numerous master-classes and seminars with many of the world’s most distinguished musicians. Riccardo recently completed his postgraduate studies in organ performance, studying under David Titterington and Susan Landale graduating at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He won several prizes and awards during his time as a student and was also awarded the DipRAM for an outstanding final recital. The Royal Academy of Music awarded him the PIDEM Organ Fellowship for the academic year 2005-2006. Riccardo frequently performs as organist and harpsichordist, both in solo and chamber music and with orchestras throughout Europe - notably in Great Britain, Italy, France, Sweden, Germany and Cyprus. From 1991 to 2003 he was organist of Terni Cathedral (Italy) and he is currently organ scholar at St. Barnabas’ Church, Dulwich, under the direction of William McVicker.
